For baby bearded dragons, you'll need a 20- to 50-gallon tank. For young bearded dragons, the recommended size of their terrarium should be at least 55-75 gallons. The total applies only if the dragon is an adult.

That's how they can run around and do whatever they want in their field.

Adult Bearded Dragon (12+ months) An adult bearded dragon is at least 18 inches long. As a rule, a bearded dragon is considered an adult after reaching 11-12 months. Choose a 75-gallon bearded dragon tank if your young beards are larger than your normal size.

However, for adult bearded dragons, you will need a large tank of around 120 gallons (~450 liters).

Bearded dragons do best in 20-gallon and ideally 40-gallon tanks (36" long x 18" wide x 18" deep). However, it is best for adults to have large beards. Dogs and cats can kill your dragon.

A 20 gallon tank is recommended for beards less than 10 inches only.

Dragons over 20 inches work best. The best size for an adult bearded dragon is at least 4 feet by 2 feet by 2 feet. As adults, bearded dragons can be 12 to 24 inches long when fully grown (this measurement includes the tail). They are very manageable and make a great pet regardless of the size of your home.

For a young adult bearded dragon, the recommended size of his terrarium should be at least 55-75 gallons.

Juveniles can live in a 40 gallon tank (38" x 18" x 18"), but that's about as much as I recommend for a baby bearded dragon. Juveniles and adults should be at least 55 gallons, but in ideally - 75 gallons plenty of time to plant or leave low branches.

Only when the dragon reaches its full size does its full size take effect.

Remember that this tank is only temporary and your bearded dragon will quickly outgrow this tank within months. If you have other pets or small children, make sure the bearded dragon tank is out of their reach. With that in mind, let's look at some of the hidden issues if you want to use a glass only tank.
